The economy has not only affected people, but also the weak and innocent, our animals. With times being tough, people have began abandoning not only their dogs and cats, but their horses. We have seen an increase in abandoned, neglected horses. We feel that no animal should be left to starve, not even a horse. We are in desperate need of donations to fund our horse project. We have a special account set up just for horses.
We have a great need for a stock trailer. We have been relying on the public to transport or horses, and it's been very difficult. We also need corral panels to temporarily house horses. We need qualified foster homes for our horses. Also, gift certificates can be bought at Caldwell feeds in Heber Springs, these certificates will allow us to buy the proper grain, wormer and supplements.
The following horses below we taken after the owner admitted he wasn't caring for them properly. He surrender the horses to avoid prosecution. These horses have never been touched by human hands. It was a long ordeal getting this babies loaded into a trailer. This little filly was so weak she fell and it took two people to get her up. She could hardly move, we ended up lifting her into the trailer.
